British Hills English Language Training
Our EFL qualified teachers (*) and staff will give multifaceted support when studying cultural differences.
(*) EFL=English as a Foreign Language
There are over 20 teachers living on or in the vicinity of the British Hills site. All teachers have at least two years’ experience teaching English in Japan. Teachers not only teach English, but also arts, crafts, music, sports and more, emphasizing the cultural aspects of each area of study. Our teachers come from Britain or countries of the British Commonwealth, such as Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the Republic of South Africa and have a wealth of experience in these fields of learning.
Our teachers are professionals who are able to analyze the levels and needs of the students to tailor English courses to suit each individual. Using their own experiences in Japan, they also help strengthen those areas of language acquisition and cultural understanding that Japanese students are typically weak in; having conversations with students over dinner, casual chats in the pub, and explaining the many facets of cultural differences.
We also typically have 10 - 15 hospitality staff from abroad on site; in the reception, shop, pub, refectory, and other facilities. This provides an English-speaking atmosphere outside of the classroom, allowing students to practice and learn even when the teacher is not there.
